Tokyo

I'm back in the USSA
How delightful, wouldn't you say?

My trip was capped with two nights in Tokyo. If you've ever seen that
TV show Extreme Elimination Challenge, then you know that Japanese
people are severely crazy. After my trip, I can personally confirm
that reputation. My favorite sight: the youth.

Japanese kids are raised very strictly, and a lot is expected -- er,
demanded -- of them academically. Some kids deal with it fine, and
others dont, like the kid who commited suicide when he got his first
A-minus. Inbetween those two extremes you have these outlandish
fashion victims who sashay around town after school, turning the
streets into a bitchin' runway.

Start out with a rebellious kid in a catholic school uniform. Add a
few tablespoons of circa-1979 London punk and a heaping spoonful of
early '80s hair-metal groupie whore with no less than 2 full cans of
Aqua Net. Sprinkle on some white-faced goth, and serve with a zoot
suit wedge.

Multiply by about 1,000,000 and distribute all over town as soon as
school gets out. That's around 4pm.
